Moose Spotting Tour from Kiruna to Nikkaluokta

- Location: Kiruna, Norrbotten
- Product code: PQXNEP
Experience an unforgettable Arctic wildlife adventure on this early-morning Moose Spotting Tour from Kiruna to the scenic valley of Nikkaluokta. As dawn breaks over Swedish Lapland, we travel along one of the most beautiful roads in the region — surrounded by frozen forests, sparkling rivers, and open valleys where moose and reindeer often roam freely.
Our journey begins with pickup from your hotel in Kiruna at 08:00. During the one-hour drive toward Nikkaluokta, your guide will help you keep watch for wildlife — especially the majestic moose, known as the “King of the Forest.” While sightings can never be guaranteed, the chances here are among the best in northern Sweden.
Halfway through the morning, we stop for a traditional Swedish fika beside the picturesque Nikkaluokta Church. Enjoy a hot drink and a Sámi-inspired sandwich with smoked reindeer meat while admiring the mountain views and learning about Sámi culture. This peaceful stop is perfect for photos and reflection in a truly Arctic setting.
On the return to Kiruna, we continue scanning the landscape for moose, reindeer, Arctic foxes, and birds of prey such as eagles and owls. Our small-group format ensures a personal experience with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and enjoy the scenery.
Join us for a relaxed and memorable morning in the wild — a perfect introduction to Lapland’s nature, wildlife, and traditions.
